Dubai is a really hot spot for holidays. I went to Dubai along with my family during my last vacations. This place was actually chosen by my daughters. Actually they are quirt impressed by the stories of Arabian nights and wanted to experience such kind of place. We found our holiday in Dubai really memorable. I went with my family to Thassos island of Greece last year. It is a very lovely place and has a great historical significance. We had our stay at a villa in the beautiful village of limenaria. I was very excited when I visited the Thassos Island of Greece. I went there with my wife. We both love to visit different places. Thassos is a beautiful island that is situated at the northern part of the main Greece. It is a green island with many mountains and forests. There are many beautiful beaches on the Island. We visited a couple of them and had a lot of fun there. When we went inside the Island we saw many waterfalls and beautiful villages. People living in these villages are very kind hearted. We saw there the highest mountain of Thassos that is called ypsarion. Its height is 1200 meters. My wife enjoyed trekking here while I enjoyed the picture perfect beauty of the town. We found that the people of the Greece are very nice and always willing to help tourists. We visited several other small villages of the island and found each one of them as beautiful and picture perfect. We really loved the Island. I shall never forget the memories of Thassos.
Here comes our date to start our vacations in a country famous for Islands, Beautiful landscapes & of course Olympics. We went through a travel agency & our tour was of seven days. With a history of over 4000 years, I find Greece a perfect destination for holidays.
As we landed on the land of Greece, we were welcomed by the Shiny rays of the Sun. The weather was perfect. After coming out of Airport of Athens, we were made to go to the hotel arranged by our Travel Agent. After resting for some time in our Hotel, we went to see “The Plaka”, which is the oldest part of Athens. Jewelry stores are the main attraction of this place. After that, we headed towards “Acropolis”. After seeing it, I was highly impressed by Greek Architecture. People there told us that the meaning of “Acropolis” is Upper City. We spend our evening there & enjoyed our first day of the vacation.
The very next morning we headed towards a place which is famous for its Sundays, as you can find every Athenian either selling or buying stuff. This place is called “Monastiraki Flea Market”. Here you can find all the things right from antiques to junk, all the things sold & purchased at same pace. Next was the turn of museums. The only one we saw was “National Archeological Museum”. It comes in the list of top 10 Museums of the world. It is at a five minute walking distance from “Victoria Station”.
Now it was the end of our second day in Greece Holidays . Tomorrow we have to move on to Islands …which one …that a surprise!
Here comes our today’s destination which is at an hour’s journey from Athens by ferry. It is Aegina. Here we enjoyed the beauty of endless coastline, the speed of water cutting boats & yes, the delicious sea food. And now our journey for the new destination begins.
